Lake Washington  Shipyards

YN-1 and YN-3 were 163’2” long with 11’8” Draft while YN-2 and YN-4 were 151‘8” long with 10’6”. They are all (Aloe-class) with a 30’6” Beam. Propulsion: diesel engine, single propeller. All were net laying ships built by the Lake Washington Shipyard; at Houghton, Washington in the same year of 1941. They were assigned to serve U.S. Navy ships and harbors during World War II with their protective anti-submarine nets. All were scrapped in 1971. Other specifications were a little different.
