Lynn has watched the park change in the 35 years she has lived within walking distance.  She has become active in the last 15 years working to preserve and enhance the open space at the park through work with the Magnuson Environmental Stewardship Alliance, (MESA) to preserve and protect the Sand Point Naval Air Station Historic District and celebrate its history.

Her professional career was as a teacher in Lake Washington School District after graduating from Stanford with a BA in English and an MA in Education.
