From Michigan Fruit Canners Inc.
In June of 2008, Vern was searching for an old fashioned cherry lug like those he used
in picking cherries at Richard Crane's Orchard in about 1950. Dave Babbitt gave him this one.
On taking it home to Bothell, Washington; he purchased some sweet cherries
at a fruit stand along the Columbia River and filled the lug. It now sits on his patio.
The cherries have been consumed.
